Look, this is definitely software related. And I suspect it is a machine in the network that tricked SBS into thinking another dc existed. Or that it's license conditions had somehow been breached. It's just that there are no clues in the log and nothing that happens to make the reason visible.

Monday will tell me this but if everything kicks in ok then it has to be the security profile settings I changed. Either way I'll try and let you all know.
