Hi Dave,
Thank you for your update.
Let's also thank James for the good prompt. Yes, we need to make the SBS
DNS pointing to the Windows server 2003. This will make the SBS to be able
to resolve the AD resource. This is the step #4 in the KB884453:
On the SBS 2003 computer, configure a static IP address on the network card
and make sure to configure DNS to include the existing server that hosts
the Active Directory zone.
Note: You can ping other computers on the network by using their Fully
Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) after you complete this procedure.
I hope these will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)

| Hi Terrence.
| You absolutely spot on with your understanding. I started the replication
| process yesterday at approx 13:15. This morning at 08:15 the process
still
| seemed to be happening.
|
| I am expecting an entry into the Event Viewer when this has been
performed.
| Am I correct in waiting for that and I expect it to be stating something
| like "Replication was Successful" Is this correct...?
|
| If it still not complete by tomorrow 10:00 I will force replication and
test
| replication as you stated in your post.
|
| Thanks for your time Terrence
