That is a great error code, but what logs is this appearing in? If it's an event log, the service generating the error and the event ID would also be helpful. Makes a difference if it is an exchange error, a VPN error, etc. Also, is the VPN setup via ISA, third party firewall...?

Has anyone here experienced this issue: I've a user with an Iphone. This connects via VPN to connect to Exchange to get mail. Please hold your fire on the wisdom of buying this device--that isn't in my control.
It has worked just fine for many months, but over the last few days, he cannot get mail about 75% of the time, and I see this error in the logs. He has made no changes to the device--and I've made no changes at the server end that I can think of. Other users are connecting via VPN with no problems.
He believes that the VPN connection is shutting down correctly--i.e. logging off, when it does work--I've never actually spotted one of these sessions in the firewall console--too ephemeral, I guess. He's tried restarting the phone.
I'd be interested in hearing of other experiences with this error--nearly all the Google hits just parrot the Microsoft explanatory text for the error which I've not been able to turn into useful advice for correcting it!
