Hey Guys,
What's the right thing to do when this thing comes through on Update
Services? I've had clients that we've approved it on (and ran the
wizard) to find that it messes up the Monitoring reports.
I've also tried approving it, installing it but not running the wizard
-- but it doesn't seem to install.
Should we approve this? If so, can we do so and keep the Monitoring
reports in tact without the blue shield?
I personally run WSUS 3.x SP1 on our server and I find it to be
overkill for a small office. It downloads a lot of software that we
don't run for one. I've gone through and disabled that software but I
have to say I really miss having an accurate report on my daily
emails.
It looks like a lot of this goes away with SBS 2008 but I thought I'd
get a pulse for 2003 R2 clients.
Best practices are appreciated.
Thanks much.
Install but don't run the config wizard post install.- Hide quoted text -

I did and when the wizard popped up, I hit cancel. However, the
server still shows it as a new update and wants to "install" again.
