and in my experience (as recent as three days ago) Symancarp (hack ptooi)
let's through more carp than any other product.
More than 80 different locations, all vertical markets, more than 2500
seats, used about everything on the market in the last 4 years, none of
our networks have ever been compromised (yet) and we have used Symantec
Corp Ed for a LONG time.
I have found malware getting through on test machines in our malware
testing area in the lab, and I've never found AVG to even be worth the
time it takes to install it - Trend is nice, but I'll stick with
Symantec Corp and the newest version of SEPP when I have a choice.
