Is this connected you your machine or the server?
From personal experience...Brother machines have no place in a business network
Scan the document using you workstation software.
Save it to a network location and then create email in outlook and attach the file.

I am trying to get my 3-1 Brother Printer/Scanner/Fax machine to use
its new Vista drivers to email a scanned document. It is apparently
attempting to use Windows Mail to do this. I gather that this is the
Vista equivalent to Outlook Express. I did set Outlook as the default
email program, but the Brother driver still called up Windows Mail.
Does anybody know how to tell the Windows Mail program to send using
Exchange?
Does anybody know how to deep six Windows Mail so that it is not
available for use at all?
