Thanks very much for your quick reply...
I have found the correct page now and have the following ASP.NET versions
available:
2.0.50727 - which is currently selected - and - 1.1.4322
I am looking at the IIS management program, expanded the web sites node -
and opened the property *** for each site. Hope thats what you intended.
I was checking the incorrect website entry beforehand!! For WSUS and
Sharepoint Admin the ASP.NET option is indeed greyed out.

Great to here that its working.

BUT, to hear that the tabs/settings are greyed out seems to me that you have
another problem.
Do yo even have the ASP.NET tabs in your default web site in IIS visible?

Hello everyone.
Thanks for your input - it is greatly appreciated.
I thought I would let you know that everything is now working. The weird
thing is - I haven't changed anything to achieve this.
The websites in IIS are all using ASP.NET 2.0.xx and the option to change
this is greyed out (though to be honest I don't make much use of the IIS
manager so could be looking in the wrong place!).
It seems that in my case, the installation of WSUS 3 components must have
been continuing for several hours after the restart.
I hope this will be of use to someone!

Start by checking wich ASP.NET version you are running on your webs in
IIS
manager.
They should all use version 1.4.33.xx, if they are set to version 2.xx,
change them back to the earlier version and then reset IIS.

In the eventlog, do you have any errors there, any Evcnt IDs?

Hello,
I installed WSUS 3.0 SP1 on our SBS R2 this morning.
The SBS R2 had all the R2 components installed and WSUS 2.0 had been
working
for the last 18 months or so!
In Server Management, after the upgrade the "Updates Services" section
presented an error message for about 30 minutes after the upgrade. It
then
began to work as you would expect it to - just much slower than it used
to.
However, I cannot get the "Monitoring and Reporting" section of "Server
Management" to work. It displays the error message below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An error occurred on the page you are trying to view.
To work around this problem, perform the following steps. After each
step,
try again to access the page.
Ensure that the MSSQL$SBSMONITORING service is started.
Ensure that the server is not low on memory or disk space.
Restart the server.
Verify that the server is functional and that there are no system-wide
problems.
Run the Set Up Monitoring Reports and Alerts task in the Server
Management
Monitoring and Reporting taskpad.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In addition, the following is recorded in the application event log:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Server Status Report:
URL: http://localhost/monitoring/perf.aspx?reportMode=0
Error Message: The specified item could not be found in the database.

I am struggling to find any answers on the above. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.
