Re: Connection to an SBS box.

Hello Lewis,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that you unable to access
shared folder on SBS when you logon the windows 2003 server with individual
user. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me
know.

Based on my research, if you logon windows 2003 server with local account,
this is a normal behavior. SBS is domain controller, if you want to access
the shared folder on it, please ensure:

1. Ensure you join the windows 2003 server to SBS domain thru
connectcomputer wizard.

2. Ensure you logon the windows 2003 server with SBS domain user account.

3. Ensure the domain user account has permission to access the shared
folder, including shared permission and NTFS permission.

I hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
