Thanks Merv - I found the change server IP wizard - but that just changes the
LAN IP and we don't want to change the whole LAN.
I went out and bought a new Ethernet Router and gave it's WAN connection a
direct internet connection. Then I connected the LAN side of the new router
to the SBS WAN NIC.
The two NICs in my SBS are now in different subnets.
I run the CEICW wizard and connect to the internet no problem. OWA and RWW
work fine.
I run ISA 2004 install and it stops when it progresses to installing MSDE
2000 SP4. Exactly the same as before. (Of course the original MSDE was
removed when I upgraded to SQL 2005 on the Premium Technologies disk).
If I re-run the CEICW wizard all is fine again.
Any other ideas?

Hi Graham,
The Change Server IP wizard can be at:
Server Management | Standard Management | Internet and Email | Change
Server IP Address
It will assist you in changing the SBS LAN NIC IP. The default for SBS
2003 is 192.168.16.1.
Another way is to change the LAN subnet in the router to be something like
192.168.10.x, putting the router at 192.168.10.1 and the WAN NIC at
192.168.10.2.
See the network configuration diagram at:
Two Nics, a static IP address, ISA, router
http://www.smallbizserver.net/Articles/tabid/266/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/76/Two-Nics-a-static-IP-address-ISA-router.aspx
There is also a KB article:
How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825763
After you have the network physically set up, install ISA.
When everything is installed, run CEICW. One of Andy's articles shows you
how to use CEICW (Confgiure Email and Internet Connection Wizard)

Hi SG
Where would I find the "change server IP address wizard" and what would I
change the WAN adapter's IP address to be?
Regards
Graham

Hello
SBS 2003 installed from CDs and setup procedures followed - all
systems
working fine including RWW, OWA etc.. Now I want to install ISA 2004.
ISA install stops at the point where it tries to install MSDE 2000 SP4
with
error "The wizard cannot install ISA server 2004. Try to install it
again
by
restarting the wizard ... etc etc". When I restart the wizard the same
error
occurs at the same place in the process.
Any suggestions please?

with
fixed IPs. One NIC is in the DMZ - so it is directly attached to the
internet. The other NIC is local LAN.
