VPN Authentication problem

Hi everyone, and thank you for reading my question:
I simply activated VPN using the assistant, as I already did on other servers.
On the router, the 1723 TCP port has been properly redirected.
When connecting a client (MAC, XP, Vista), the server is well found, and the
authentication process starts but never succeeds. So the connection fails
after about 30seconds trying to verify username and password.
I tryed to create another account, bypassing remote access group policies.
But the problem is still the same, in fact, we can type whatever name and
password we want, the process won't even tell they are wrong.
Vista Network Diagnostic says doen't detect any problem...
That's why I'd like to know if anyone there could help me solving this
problem.
In anycase, thank you for reading till there :D
