My system is Windows SBS R2 Premium with ISA 2004 with all updates and
service packs. I don't know where to check the current service pack level for
Exchange. Maybe you can point me to some program that can output all the data
that you need?
I have Serice Pack 3 installed for ISA 2004.
For Exchange I dont know.
The SBS OS is running Service Pack 2.
About the SQL; I haven't done or setup anything about the builtin SQL server
unless some guide has created any databases for me.
The problem with RWW started to occur after I had setup "Update Services"
using the guide. I left it running for about 5 hours showing a percentage on
how much it had completed. It seems like (In Add & Remove Programs) that it
installed at least two updates for the server OS it self.
5 days afterwards:
This article describes my problem so I followed it and found a link to
another article which describes how to fix .Net Framework.
http://www.itproffs.se/forumv2/printable.aspx?m=121405
I read the article that .Net Framework could create problems for ASP.NET and
Remote Web Workplace if Windows Update had installed .Net Framework 2.0.
So I followed the article which described a step-by-step sollution for how
to repair .Net Framework back to v1.1.
This is the guide that I followed:
http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2005/06/21/431385.aspx
After I have restarted the system (today) I noticed errors inside of Server
Management. The error says:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\mscorwks.dll could not be
loaded.
Anyhow, the reason that I followed the guide is because I couldn't login to
RWW using any computer. I can login with any other user than the default
administrator account.
The error that shows in the Event Viewer is:
Type: Error
Event ID: 0
Source: SBS.RWW
The following fatal error occurred in the Remote Web Workplace application:
URL: https://subdomain.xyz.net/Remote/admin.aspx
Error Message: Input string was not in a correct format.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

The error I get in Internet Explorer after trying to login as Administrator
is:
"The page cannot be displayed
A problem has occurred with the Remote Web Workplace. Close this browser
window, and then log on again. If this problem continues, contact the person
responsible for your network."
I'm greatful for your help.

Hello
I have noted your latest reply and still miss some information.
I have some questions for you to answer.
What version of SBS are you running including servicepack levels for SBS,
Windows, Exchange etc?
If you are running Premiun edition, are you running ISA and SQL?
What happened before this error occured, did you install anything?
The error message on the picture show whats happens directly in the GUI, do
you have any event ids in the windows eventlogs (system, application)
Du you get the same error spite what part of server management you are
using?
Check if MSSQL$SBSMonitoring is running.

Yes you are entirely correct. To sum everything up; my subject is about a
fatal error in my RWW but you also asked me about which version of ASP.NET
that I use for IIS and I couldn't find the tab you were refering to. But I
do
recieve error message inside of Server Management about .Net Framework
v2.0,
so I thought that might be a reason that I can't see the ASP.NET tab you
were
refering to earlier.
I hope you have got everything more understood now.
And yes, The event log shows Errors that I posted in my first post.

The picture shows the user part of Server Management, you write about
RWW,
Is It the same or are we just using different nomenclatures / names for
the
same thing?
Have you any event id in your event log?
What actions were takened prior to this fault? Have you installed,
reinstalled anything?
We need more info on this.

I dont have a ASP.NET tab there. Maybe this is the cause? Please see my
previous message where I have posted a URL to a screenshot with an
Error I
get when I try to Add User in the User page of Server Management.

If you open up Internet Information Server snap-in on your SBS server
(administrative tools).
R-Click your default web site and chose properties.
On the ASP.NET tab you can see the current settings and also change
them.
This also applies on sharepoint and Companyweb sites aswell.

Thanks for you reply.
Where do I check the version of ASP.NET for IIS? I can't seem to
find
it.
Your name seems to be Swedish, if the rules allow us perhaps we
could
write
in Swedish?

Check wich version of ASP.NET you are using in IIS.
It should be 1.1.4.3 xxx.

Hi
I can't connect to my Remote Web Workplace anymore. I believe the
problem
occured after I setup the Update Services.
The error I get in Internet Explorer when I have logged in as
administrator
is:
"The page cannot be displayed
A problem has occurred with the Remote Web Workplace. Close this
browser
window, and then log on again. If this problem continues, contact
the
person
responsible for your network."
I have checked the event viewer and registered this error event
whenever I
try to login to Remote Web Workplace.
The following fatal error occurred in the Remote Web Workplace
application:
URL: https://subdomain.xyz.net/Remote/admin.aspx
Error Message: Input string was not in a correct format.
Stack Trace: at System.Number.ParseDouble(String s,
NumberStyles
style,
NumberFormatInfo info)
at System.Double.Parse(String s, NumberStyles style,
IFormatProvider
provider)
at System.Convert.ToDouble(String value, IFormatProvider
provider)
at remote.admin.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e)
at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive()
at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain()
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Furthermore to add: I can login to the Remote Web Workplace using
another
user than the default administrator account. - I have searched
everywhere
for
a KB for this issue without any success. I have tried to re-run
CEICW
and
also tried re-publishing the RWW but nothing has changed.
I'm more than greatfull for any help on how to straighten this
out.
Best Regards
