Hello Customer,
Thank you for posting here.
According to your description, I understand that the documents on
companyweb upload by one user are always read only. If I have misunderstood
the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research, I suggest we try the following test to narrow down
this issue:
Try to upload a document to companyweb thru another domain account from
another client computer. Does the document still read only?
If this issue only happen on this user, this is a SharePoint permission
setting issue. I suggest you repost your issue in WSS newsgroup for further
help.
WSS newsgroup:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?dg=m
icrosoft.public.sharepoint.setup_and_administration
If other users and other client computers all have this issue, please help
me collect some information for further investigation:
1. Do you get error when upload the files?
2. Try to create a new Documents Library on the companyweb, upload the
file. Does the issue reoccur?
3. Does the user could modify the file upload by itself?
I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
