Re: SBS Setup Error: An error occurred while creating user account

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Something to try...

Delete the templates again, then register wizchain.dll. Then run Setup
again and reinstall the Administration Tools.

Register wizchain.dll before running setup again
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Windows for Small Business
Server\Administration\wizchain.dll"

Run SBS integrated setup. Under Component Selection, set Server Tools to
Maintenance, and Administration to Reinstall (you may need to remove it
first, reboot and then reinstall it)..

Catastrophic,

I ran through the KB842207 steps and rebooted completely. I then deleted
the accounts as directed and still got the error. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Dear Swalts,

Please try the following:

1. Delete Administrator Template, Mobile User Template, Power User
Template,
User
Template, Backup User, STS Worker from MyBusiness -> Users -> SBSUsers
OU.

2. Run SBS integrated setup. Under Component Selection, set Server Tools
to
Maintenance, and Administration to Reinstall.
