Well, I know there are a few steps to move from pop3 to Exchange. I just
dont know the order of things. Here are the steps that I think I need to do:
1. Setup Exchange on my sbs 2003 server
2. Do something with an "A" record and an "MX" record - I assume I would go
through Comcast for this??
3. Tell DreamHost that my mail will no longer go to them but it will come
to a new IP address.
I am sure there is more but I dont know everything and I dont know the exact
steps. My fear is that there will be a period where we wont receive any
emails.

Hi Joe:.
Is it worth it? Exchange is worth many times the price of admission if you
have more than one or two users. For a single email account and no reason
for public folders, not a lot of point.
As far as the "exact steps", do you mean to allow your present ISP hosted
mail to continue until you call it down to your SBS, or to change the public
DNS records so that the mail flows directly into your SBS?

Sorry if this is a duplicate but I dont think my last one got through...
My current pop3 email is hosted by DreamHost. I want to keep the same
domain but I want to setup an exchange server on sbs 2003. Can anyone
tell
me the exact steps? Will there be an outage? Is it worth it?
