Hello John,
Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry for the delay response due to the
weekend.
I'm glad the suggestions are help for you, and I'm very glad I could get
praise from you.
If you would like to continue to troubleshoot the ping issue with me here,
I will do my best to help you.
Based on my research, this issue is mostly caused by the improperly ISA
rules. I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can resolve this
issue:
1. Open the ISA Server management console, navigate to "Firewall Policy".
On the middle pane, locate on the "SBS Internet Access Rule". Then move
this rule to the top of the rules. Click Apply button to save this
configuration and test this issue.
2. If the issue persists, please locate on the "SBS Internet Access Rule"
again, double click it, go to the Users tab, you will find that the default
setting is applied to "SBS Internet Users", please change it to "All Users"
and click OK. Click Apply button to save this configuration and test this
issue.
If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:
1. Does the ping issue happen on all internal clients?
2. Can you ping internal clients from each other?
3. Can you ping SBS IP from internal clients?
4. Please gather the ISAInfo (the detail steps in my previous reply) for
further investigation.
5. Please reproduce this issue and gather ISA log (the detail steps in my
previous reply) for further investigation.
I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
