SBS SP1 installing for over 8 hours..... let it continue, or what?

We have SBSR2 running along very nicely - started with 4.5 -->
upgraded to SBS2K and then a SWING Migartion (new hardware) to
SBS2K3R2 8 months ago. I started working to resolve a sharepoint (we
have not used it yet - trying to set-up) issue (separate post) I found
SBS SP1 was not showing installed (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\ServicePackNumber does not exist)

Downloaded all 5 files
1) Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 was already OK not needed
2) Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 Service Pack 1 was already OK not
needed
3) Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1 was already OK not needed
4) Windows XP SP2 for Client Deployment just installed finished OK
5) Windows Small Business Server 2003 Service Pack 1 *****this has now
beenrunning for over 5 hours - we're now operating for the day and
eveything seems to be operating OK but why is it taking so long... the
progress bar made it all the way to across and has restarted

I negleted to disable TREND A/V before starting - I've reviewed other
steps in the article below and I don't see any other possible issues.
Advice would ve appreciated
