Sorry - please disregard - I made a typo - it does work but I get the
following:
VBSript: Remote Desktop Disconnected
The Client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections
might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new
connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your
connection. Please try connecting again later. If the problem continues to
occur, contact your administrator.
Most likely I have to check my firewall ports for cable access - I'll check
tomorrow night.

Thanks - let me try to explain without mentioning what I've already done.
I have a T1 connection and a cable modem connection.
If my T1 line is down, my firewall automatically switches over from T1
access to cable modem access.
Normally I would go to https://mail.mydomain.com/remote through the T1
I would like to create a way to go to http://anyurlyoulike.com which
points to the same server through the cable in the event the T1 is
offline.
So far all I've been able to do is create a link to OWA on that same
server through the cable line, everything else seems to make it
automatically pop back to HTTPS://mail.mydomain.com/remote which would not
work since that only works if the T1 is operational.

Hi:
Not sure from your description what you have done. The usual approach
for an SBS network facing the internet is:
internet - router/firewall - sbs external nic - sbs internal nic -
switch - workstations
or
internet - world class firewall - switch - -sbs single nic
\ - workstations.
For remote access, then you have your ISP setup a public DNS entry that
points to your public ip address, usually something like
mail.domain_name.com. After that is done, run the CEICW and input the
exact name associated with your public IP, in this case
"mail.domain_name.com" (no "quotes")
Open the ports on your router/firewall, pointing them to the appropriate
NIC on your SBS.
Then to complete the circuit, from outside the LAN open a browser and
type:
http://mail.domain_name.com/remote
this will land you on the Remote Web Workplace, or RWW page of your
server, where you can select your point of entry.

about what you have done, and what you are trying to do.

Hello,
I have SBS 2003. The default web page brings me to a choice of
checking my e-mail or remoting into a PC. It goes to an https
location for the default web page. I've put in a failover line to my
network through cable modem. It works great, I still can send and
receive e-mails etc but so far all I can do it make a redirect page that
goes to myserver\exchange. I haven't figured out of a way to get the
main page which gives me a choice of e-mail or remote access to our TS
and workstations. If you could help an SBS newbie out I'd really
appreciate it.
