Hi --Did you order the new media that is part of the transition pack?
We had been running SBS 2003 Premium edtion on a single server and wanted to
split the SQL Server and Exchange Server onto seperate boxes. We were
advised to purchase the "Transition Pack" version of SBS 2003. We did this
and I installed the new Windows 2003 Server onto a new box. However, when I
attempted to install MS Exchange on this new box using the product key
included with our original SBS 2003 I got an error message that the version
of Exchange could only be installed on an SBS box. I also tried installing
Exchange using the key included with the SBS 2003 Transition package, but,
predictably, this product key was invalid.
I am confused about how to go about installing Exchange seperately from SBS.
Can anyone advise me as to what I have done wrong?
Thanks
Rich
