Re: Group policy not always working for one user

I don't think so. I'll check when the user is not here.

Log-off is recorded every day like it should be.
Login only 3 of the 8 days it's in use.

Every user has it's own file, and it's working most of the time so I don't
think it's a permission issue...?

Is there a way to track wether a gp is applied correctly or not at a users
computer? If possible on the server.
I tried gpresult /user [username] but that doesn't seem to work...

Thanks...

Vincent

Can you make out any pattern as to when it happens? Does the user get an
error (something down the line "cannot write to file")?

No, it's a desktop pc like all the rest.

Does that user have a laptop? If he/she log into her box before
connecting to the LAN (cached credentials) the logon script wouldn't
trigger. The username in not case sensitive. It doesn't matter what they
use.

Hi,

I have two batch file linked to all authenticated users to track log on
and logoff times, by group policy.

There's only one line in the batch files:

echo %DATE% / %TIME% / Login >> \\server\Monitoring$\%username%.txt

and

echo %DATE% / %TIME% / Logoff >> \\server\Monitoring$\%username%.txt

It's working perfect for all users, except for one.
For that one user, the logoff is always tracked, but the login only
sometimes.

Anyone knows where I can look for a solution?

As username we all have our first name. I noticed everybody is typing
his/her username with capital first letter, except the user with
problems. Could that be the problem?

Thanks,
Vincent
