Re: Minor requests to all posters

'84 hey? latecomer, newbie.

Newsgroups are the direct descendent of 'teletype' or 'newswire' services.
Services which broadcast to a large number of 'subscribers'. Most of you
newbies miss this point.

If a thread started was replied with a top post, then continue to top
post.
If it was under post then continue with under post.
You drive my news reader crazy!

Sorry, but as I was on usenet in 84, I'm going to keep practicing the
long standing method of snipping and bottom or inline replying.

There are too many people that don't snip and reply with the entire
message, don't use a proper usenet client, don't strip signature lines,
etc...

I write/reply like I read, top to bottom, left to right, and remove any
parts that are not needed in the reply.

Someone else mentioned reading the first part and then scrolling down to
the bottom to read the rest, but they left a LARGE part of a reply in
their message that should have been snipped.
