The fastest way I know:
Download and burn the Linux rescue cd from:http://www.sysresccd.org/Download
Boot the laptop from the cd and at the first screen that says
boot:
type ntpass and press enter
accept all defaults and follow the instructions.
set the password to blank.
reboot by typing reboot, and pull the cd out when the laptop start
rebooting.
