Re: Minor requests to all posters

simply an FYI, do what you like, but ....

For those of you who don't like top posting, please don't read any further - scroll to the bottom of this message to read the rest, and then tell me which method is most efficient.

It's nice to keep the entire thread intact so when an item is opened, one can scroll through the thread without opening another post - so snipping content from replies might save space, but makes viewing the thread history a very inefficient process.

To that end, some folks might be less likely to scroll to the bottom of a long message to read the latest information (bottom posting). I'm in that group, it's just too time consuming for me - sorry about that. My newsreader opens a post and displays the top of the message. When I need more information, I scroll.

I'm not interested in a religious war over top posting versus bottom posting; it's just an FYI.

IMHO, there's a greater chance your topic will be followed, by more people, if you top post. If you bottom post, and the thread gets long .... well, you get the idea.

Thanks.

If a thread started was replied with a top post, then continue to top
post.
If it was under post then continue with under post.
You drive my news reader crazy!

:-)

And, one for Mr. Holz:

Could you leave a space or two between the previous post and your subsequent bottom post?

:-)

And to anyone out there that wants to turn this into a top post vs. bottom post thread, please don't.
