Re: "hang" during reboot

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Try to get the system into DSRM 1st. If you can get that far let it sit
there for ten minutes, poke around the logs, see if we can get the beast
back to working order.

DNS and the NIC are OK. I just booted into LKGC and am waiting for
the OS to load .... it's at the same stage again. I'll wait a bit
and then try the safe mode without networking.
Wish I knew what the problem is this time. All I can guess is the
AD and mailbox recovery I did.
If you boot in safe mode, check the DNS setting again, then check the
event log and post the errors here. I am sure someone will have the
right answer.

In a second thought, no NIC will be available for you without
networking.
Did you restore using Active Directory restore from the F8 boot menu?

This'll make you scream even louder ... my System State from tape
backup is all fouled up, so I will have to create my users and
compiters by hand and then "marry" the mailboxes to the user accounts.
