Re: Delayed email from outside vendor or not arriving at all

The email is sent from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2003.

Sometimes the client receives the message sometimes he does not.

No NDR

How does your client receive his mail?

What happens to the mail sent to your client after the warning message?

It is never received? It finally is received?

Returned to sender with an NDR?

I have a client running SBS 2003 Standard SP1 Exchange SP2. I am also
running a SonicWall TZ170 with IPS services running. My client has one
vendor that experiences problems sending emails to my client. He does not
have this problem with any other vendor.

The error message is this:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

And a txt attachment that says this:

I have tried to troubleshoot this in the past but did not have much
success. I have verified that they are sending to the correct address, I
have a PTR record
