Save a reboot. ;) If the computer is currently joined to EXAMPLE, then join it to example.local (the DNS name of the domain). If it's currently joined to the DNS name, then use the NetBIOS name. This little trick will (usually) save you having to join to a workgroup (reboot), and then join to the domain (reboot).

The computer account exists though, or that message wouldn't be shown. In computer properties, if you join a workgroup, and then rejoin the domain, that should reset things.

Please help, I am running SBS2003 R2. One of the vista workstations
need a system restore. Now when I try to log onto the workstation we
get the mess age "The trust relationship between this workstation and

I am able to log on as a local user.
