I did run it Les, found a few issues, Recieve side scaling, task offloading,
tcp chimney, etc, which i fixed. Also noted a line that states
'MSSQL$Sharepoint instance is not using SQL 2000 SP 4' not sure yet how to
fix this issue, unless it is to simply reapply Sql 2000 sp4.
Also found KB326672 that should resolve my exchange routing engine issue.

Go with the SBS Best Practices Analyser right now, it may not resolve all.
the issues but is a great place to start. The link is in my SIG below.

Lovely situation for the first day back at work after an 8 month stress
leave.. ;-)
Situation:
Server is an SBS2003R2, fully patched premium version.
Customer attempted (I think) to disable the Internet Explorer Enhanced
Security on the server - but I think he somehow ran a security template
instead. Situation once on site was as follows;
the following services were completely gone:
DNS
DHCP
Certificate Services
IIS
Companyweb and Sharepoint and Exchange of course were non functional.
Next step was to ascertain the status (PLEASE GOD!!!!!) of the
backups.......
There weren't any.......
(please note above that i have just returned from stress leave, and this
is
now the second day back....groan)
Fast forward to today......complete Intranet portion of SBS2003 has been
reinstalled , DNS, DHCP, Cert Services up and running, Exchange running
with
exception of Routing Engine having an issue, Win2003 sp2 installed ,
Ex2003
sp2 installed, company web and sharepoint seem to be working again but are
clean installs.
Now, the following questions;
1/ How do you determine whether or now Sharepoint was using Sql 2000 over
MSDE in a database? (i'm assumeing it was sql, but not 100% sure)
2/ How do you reattach (or can you) an existing sharepoint database to a
new
or blank sharepoint install? (the database is on a seperate drive, size
about
21GB) There is not enough free space on drive c: to attempt moving the
database to the \\mssql\sharepoint\data folder, or import...
