Re: Updating hardware

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi Eric:

You don't say which method you are using to install SBS and/or the AD.

If you are using the SwingIt! kit from www.sbsmigration.com, you can, and
should, contact them directly. There is no better support for that than the
folks who created it.

I bought a new server to replace our current SBS server. I have gont
through the step by step (this is my second attempt!) migration given
by microsoft, I also have the SwingIt! migration tools. I have come
across an error when I try to continue the setup. It gets to the setup
requirements and comes back with 2 errors:

"You must be a member of the domain admins, schema admins, and
enterprise admins groups."

and

"Windows small business server 2003 cannot be installed on a domain
controller that is not assigned the operations master roles."

I found a microsoft KB the deals with this but everything they say to
fix it does not apply or is already done.

Any other ideas?
