Hello Jeff,
Thank you for sending me the information.
After reviewing your email, I understand that Windows 2003 SP2 has been
installed.
Firstly I would like to confirm that did you install the hotfixes as well?
Please refer to following article to ensure all the hotfixes are installed.
Best practices and known issues when you install Windows Server 2003
Service Pack 2 on a Windows Small Business Server 2003-based computer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939421
Before we go any further, I would like to confirm following:
1. How did you input your credential? Would you please refer to my first
reply to capture some screenshots for both using hostname and using IP
address? Please also capture a screenshot of the error message.
2. How did you use IP address to rdp to the client? By using mstsc /v IP or
run mstsc and then input the IP address?
3. Please run "mstsc /console" and then check if it works.
4. You mentioned that RWW only works for server. Do you mean when accessing
RWW on the server, only the server can be connected via RWW?
5. Please also send me the MPS report for the client after reproducing the
problem.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Best regards,
Manfred Zhuang(MSFT)
