Re: Domain users: not able to give permissions

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

On the Permissions tab for the share, set the permissions to Everyone, Full
Control. Then on the Security tab, click Add | Advanced | Find Now |
(highlight the user) | OK | OK. Then on the bottom pane of the Security
tab, grant the user the permissions his needs.

Hi,

I am new to windows server 2003. I need to give access rights of a
particular folder to a user whose account has been recently created. I
right click the folder and select "sharing and security", then under
the sharing tab I select "share this folder" , click permissions. In
this dialog box where I add the new user it gives me "name not
found".
Can anyone tell me how do I make this work?
