Re: VPN + Remote Desktop on SBS2003 SP1 domain = No Go?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Ryan,

Yes, on the actual workstation. There are 2 checkboxes under the remote tab.
The bottom one needs to be checked and the user needs to be added. The fact
that you can access it as a domain admin shows that it is a permission
problem and not a functionality problem.

You didn't answer my question on how you joined the computer.

Claus,
Let me see if this helps you:

If I log into the session and chose "Start->Disconnect" I can log
back in, until that disconnection times out. If I chose "Start->Log
off", I can no longer log in (as a Domain User). If I add myself to
the Domain Admins group again, it works and I can do as I please.
Where do I need to give the user the right to use RDP? On the actual
workstation? If So, my workstation has me already configured \domain
\ryan has access to use remote desktop.

You probably didn't close the first session. Also, after you have joined
the
computer to the new domain you need to give the user the right to use RDP
(computer/property/remote). The domain admin is automatically added if
you
have used "connectcomputer" to join the box. If you did not use the
wizard I
would recommend disjoining the computer and rejoining it with the wizard.
SBS does a whole bunch of configuration during the wizard setup and like
with everything related to SBS the fist rule is:USE THE WIZARDS!
