Re: RWW no longer working

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your update.

I am glad to hear RWW works now. Your understanding is correct. If you copy client.aspx to another folder, permissions will
be inherited from the new parent folder. That's should be the root cause of this issue. Just like you said, to avoid
permission problem, we can make a copy of the file within the folder and rename them to perform the backup and restore
operations.

Regarding the slow log on issue, based on my further research, the following suggestions may be helpful:

Suggestion 1: Remove the old/disabled computer accounts from AD.

Suggestion 2: Modify related registry key on the SBS server
=============
1. Click Start and then Run. Type in regedit and press Enter.
2. Locate the following branch:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\RemoteUserPortal\KWLinks

3. Double click the AppTS value in the right panel, change the value to 0

Suggestion 3: Turn off checksum offloading on the SBS server network adapter
=============
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

3. In the right pane, make sure that the DisableTaskOffload registry entry exists. If this entry does not exist, follow these
steps to add the entry:

a. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
b. Type DisableTaskOffload, and then press ENTER.

4. Click DisableTaskOffload.
5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
6. Type 1 in the Value data box, and then press ENTER.
7. Exit Registry Editor.

After performing the above suggestions, let' restart the server to check the result. If this issue still occurs, please help me
collect the following logs for the further research:

1. IIS log
---------------
a. On Exchange Serves, open IIS MMC, right click Default Web Site and then click Properties.
b. Click Website tab and then check Enable logging.
c. Stop the Default Website and RENAME the existing IIS log files under
C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1.
d. Restart the Default Website and reproduce the problem, which will generate new IIS log file with the exact error.
e. Go to the following folder on Exchange Server: C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1.
f. Gather the log files

2. MPS report
---------------
a. Please download the MPSRPT_SETUPPerf.EXE from the following link and then run this tool to gather some information
from the problematic computer:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd915706/MPSRPT_SETUPPerf.EXE

b. Double-click on the MPSRPT_SETUPPerf.EXE file. [Note] This process may take some time; however, it will not have a
negative effect on the performance.
c. A CAB file will be generated in the %systemroot%\MPSReports\Setup\Reports\Cab directory called%
COMPUTERNAME%_MPSReports.CAB. The CAB file will contain the reports generated by the MPS Reporting Tool.

You can zip these log files and send them as attachments to my mailbox v-shshao@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

If there is any update, feel free to post back.

Best regards,

Shawn Shao
