It's by design. Locate the file, rightclick, select properties and click on
the "unlock" button.

Hi everyone! I cannot run an .exe file to install a program on my SBS
2003
server. I get an error "Windows cannot access the specified device path
or
file. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item." I
am
logged on with my domain account, and my account is a member of the Domain
Admins group. It does this whether I am logged on to the console or
through
a Remote Desktop connection.
Aren't Domain Admins supposed to have full local rights to the domain
controller? Is it something to do with the fact that it is a file with an
.exe extension? I haven't found anything in my research that particularly
addresses this problem, but will continue to search. In the meantime, I
would appreciate any pointing in the right direction. Thank you!
.
