Problem

I went to help a law office, and configured a new machine to work with their server on a domain, with synced folders and outlook exchange. They were on DSL and complaining about speed, so I recommended they switch to cable/boost

So they did a few weeks later, and got a new set of static ips, then I went to take over after the cable install.

They normally log into a domain and have synchronized files and use outlook through exchange server.

I wrote down all the settings that were there, except for the old router....I had to reset-because I didn't have the password.

their old static ip was 71.249.249.71

Their local ips were 192.168.2.xxx
Their gateway was 192.168.2.1

their DNS's were 192.168.1.10 (this is the ip of the remote server)
151.???.0.85 (don't remember)
I first tried old router to new router - just to make a quick connection, I plugged in one static ip to the old router, and was able to get on internet, but it would not sync or exchange could not check mail.

Then I first took one computer and plugged it into the new router -> cable modem. I can log onto the domain, but folders will not sync and outlook won't send and receive.

Then when I tried to "go back" to the way it was, it still wouldn't sync or get the mail. (remember - I reset the old router before I saw the config because I didn't have the password)

What am I missing configuration wise? What is the bare minimum needed to sync folders and load exchange email?
I plan on calling microsoft for an incident tomorrow, but I would like to know if anyone can help me. let me know if you need more info.
