I am having some difficulty with IE7 and Remote Web Workplace - both
my XP Pro workstation and my SBS server are patched with everything
from Microsoft update as of yesterday. I have added the self-signed
SSL certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities group
and set the SBS public address in the Trusted Sites and set the
Internet zone to Medium and Trusted Sites to Low. I went through the
custom levels of both Internet and Trusted zone and enabled
everything. I even removed the MSRDP ActiveX compatibility registry
entry from the Registry.
I continuiously receive the following error when trying to access the
client computer connection page in RWW:
"This portion of the Remote Web Workplace requires the Microsoft
Remote Desktop ActiveX Control. Your browser's security settings may
be preventing you from downloading ActiveX controls. Adjust these
settings and try to connect again."
I have the Vista compatibility pack installed on the SBS server like I
saw recommended in another post but still no go. I've tried
reregistering a ton of DLLs as suggested in another post and that did
not hurt or help at all either. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!
