Hello,
Here is my test environment.
I am trying to push Acrobat Reader with group policy.
Got 1 Windows 2003 SBS and 1 client computer.
SBS box has active directory installed. GPMC installed.
In active directory I have created an OU called "Desktops" and moved the
client computer to this OU.
For creating a GPO, I right click on the OU, Right Click it> Go to
Properties > Group Policy >
There I create a GPO called Acrobat. Under Group Policy Object Editor >
Computer Configuration > Software Settings> Software installation I create a
package.
Name Version Deployment State
Source
Acrobat Reader 8.1.0 8.1 Assigned
\\testserver\Acrobat\Acrobat.msi
The above are the settings of the package.
On the client computer I do a gpupdate /force
Restart the client.
The client still doesnt installs the software?
Could anyone please point where I am going wrong?
I am learning Windows server.
Your help will be really appreciated.
