Thank you all for your help. I believe the issue might have been resolved.
I renamed her OST file which forced the creation of a new one. After
clearing out conflicting results, since then, she has not experienced any
issues. We're hoping for the best.
Thank you all for your time.
Good day.

Hello Cozmiq,.
Thank you for posting here. Let's also thank Dave and Tony for the input.
According to your description, I understand that one Outlook 2003 client
get error "conflicting edits have been made to the same item". If I have
misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
First, I agree with Tony, this issue is mostly cause by the incorrect
manipulation on some email. Please let me know the detailed steps what you
do when you get this conflict message. Is this issue reproducible?
Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can
resolve this issue:
1. Ensure you apply Office 2003 SP2 on the client.
Office 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2)

9db6-ec7d5b4dd867&DisplayLang=en
2. Try to turn off the "read receipt" feature to see whether the issue is
actually related to the read receipt.
a. Please open Outlook 2003 on the client,
b. Click Tools menu, Options, Preferences tab,
c. Click E-mail Options, click Tracking Options
d. Select "Never send a response"
e. Click OK 3 times. Then, test this issue.
3. Please disable Outlook cache mode to see if it help:

b. Click Tools menu, E-mail Accounts,
c. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts, click Next
d. Select the Exchange account in the list, click Change button
e. Uncheck "Use Cached Exchange Mode" option, click Next
f. Click Finish button.
4. This is issue may cause by the real-time scan of antivirus software on
the client, please uninstall any antivirus software on the client. Then, do
clean boot on the client to see if it help:
To clean boot the problematic computer, please use the steps below:
a. Click Start, click Run, and then in the Open box, type "MSCONFIG"
(without the quotation marks). Click OK.
b. In the System Configuration Utility (MSConfig) window, click to select
the Selective Startup button.
c. Click to clear the check mark from the "Load startup items" below
Selective Startup.
d. Click the Services tab, click to check the "Hide All Microsoft Services"
box, and remove all the check marks from the remained Non-Microsoft
Services.
e. Click OK to close the MSConfig window. Click Yes when you are asked to
restart your computer in order to enable the changes.
f. After restarting, please check whether this issue will reoccur.
5. If the issue persists after the above steps, I suggest you recreate the
mailbox attributes for this problematic account.
=========================
1) Use Outlook or exmerge tool to export mailbox to PST file.
To use the Import and Export Wizard in Outlook:
a. On the File menu in Outlook, click Import and Export.
b. Under "Choose an action to perform", click "Export to a personal folder
file (.pst)", and then click Next.
c. Click to select the MAPI folder that you want to share, and then click
Next.
d. Save the PST file.
To use Exmerge, refer to the following article:

Information
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=174197
2) Open the PST file from some other Outlook client to verify if we can
access inbox in the PST file.
3) If the PST file is good, go to ADUC (Active Directory Users and
Computers), right-click the problematic user and then click Exchange tasks.
Select remove exchange attributes.
4) Right-click the user again and then click Exchange tasks. Select create
mailbox.
5) Log on the mailbox and import PST back into mailbox using Exmerge or
Outlook.
If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:
1. Please capture screenshots on the error messages and send the pictures
to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
2. Do you get any event error about this issue on the problematic computer?
I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!

| Hello to all,
| I have a user who has an issue with her Outlook 2003; a Windows XP Pro
| client on a SBS 2003 Premium Edition server.
| On several occasions during the course of a day, she receives a "Conflict
| Message" dialog box on some unrelated messages she has sent out. The
error
| message states the following: "conflicting edits have been made to the
same
| item". Consequently she has to choose the version that she wants to keep
or
| keep all messages involved. She is requesting read and delivery receipts
as
| she always has even before this problem creeped up. I have renamed her
OST
| file forcing a resync with the Exchange Server. It has not changed
anything.
| I have perused the Internet for a solution to no avail. Perhaps I can
pick
| your brains here. Thank you for your time and efforts.
