Hi Franky,
Before taking any measurs I would like you to check Windows event logs for
errors and also the In the webs erver log if any and post back here. Not god
to do styff with the server before realy knowing whts wrong.

Hi, Im not sure how to check but I now upgrades are connected with trouble
and problems, often with some reinstalls of parts of the SBS installation.
I need to check furteher, but I do think others here in the forum will
have quicker answers then me in this case. But i will do what i can and
get back..

Did you do an upgrade of Sharepoint or did you do an Side-By-Side
installation?

Hi Henrik
Thanks for the reply
However i have created a new application pool called "WSUSTEST" & then
I tried to set WSUS to use this pool but for some reason the
"application pool" option is is greyed out & i am unable to change the
setting in WSUS properties
I managed to change this & then set the WSUS to the new "WSUSTEST" pool
& i still have the same issue
(BTW I do have SharePoint 2 with SP3 & when i went to install
Sharepoint 2 with SP2 it asked me the repair option so i choose this)
What if i were to uninstall Sharepoint SP3, uninstall WSUS & start
again, would this be the best solution?
Thanks in advance

Hi bass,
When i read this i trigger on the fact that he doesnt have Sharepoint
2.
The "normal" way to go with Sharepoint is to go from 2 to 3 by doing a
side-by-side and therefore should have Sharepoint 2.
If have had 2.0 and uninstall, what are the effects on WSUS?

Any WSUS errors in the Event Log? This looks like an ASP.NET
problem.

Hi All
Been searching through this forum for an answer to my problems but
have not come across anything identical so please excuse if this is
a repeat
The server is SBS2003 R2
I installed WSUS 2.0 on Friday & rebooted server, all looked correct
& everything appeared to work correctly
However on coming in this morning I am now finding the following
error whilst trying to access "Update Services" in server management
"Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server
is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your
web browser to retry your request.
Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this
specific request failure can be found in the application event log
of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what
caused this error to occur."
I ran the SBS Best Practices Analyzer & it reports that I have not
got SharePoint SP2 though i do have SharePoint SP3. I then
proceeded to download SharePoint 2 with SP2 & then installed but
this has made no difference
When I check WSUS, I can see all the PC's added + it has also
downloaded over 500mb of updates for the XP & Vista clients. So it
looks like it has installed correctly but I feel that this problem
is something to do with SharePoint & if someone could assist then
this would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Paul
