First you need to turn off the DHCP on the router and turn on the DHCP on
the SBS box. I would also recommend that you switch the workstations to DHCP
or if you have them static, make sure that DNS and WINS points to the SBS.
Second, check that the remote subnet is different from the SBS LAN subnet.

I use a Small Business server with 2 workstations on a cable internet
access
all 3 machines the server and the workstations are connected to a
cable/dsl router which runs DHCP
both workstations and the server have fixed IP addresses and the
router's DHCP range is set so it does not conflict with the static IP
addresses
On the router I set up and remote desktop service to forward the
connections to correct IP addresses
I can access the workstations within our LAN but not from outside
From outside I can connect to the VPN the username and password gets
authenticated and the VPN is connected but can't access either the
server or the workstations
also when I connect the to the VPN from outside the LAN I can't
acccess domains by name
What could cause this
.
