Re: Cannot connect to Server

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi,

How about connecting a client computer (like a laptop) directly to the SBS
server? This can eliminate the devices between the server and clients.

Based on my further research, this issue can also be caused by IPNAT, let's
try the following steps to disable it:
-----------------------------
1. Open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc)
2. Choose "Show Hidden Devices" from View menu
3. Open "Non-Plug and Play Drivers". Double click to open "IP Network
Address Translator".
4. Select "Do not use this device(disabled)" under "Device usage".
5. Click OK and then restart the computer to test.

If issue remains, please also check if there is additional RRAR policies
which blocked the ICMP package:
-----------------------------
1. Click Start -> All Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Routing and
Remote Access.
2. Click your server name -> IP Routing -> Remote Access Policies.
3. By default, there are three policies, the first is Small Business Server
Remote Access Policy (Grant), the remaining two are: Deny. Please check if
additional polices were added. We can also temporarily change all of them
to (Grant) to test this issue.

I am standing by for your reply.

Best regards,

Shawn Shao
