Re: Reply E-mail using the exchange server

Your boss needs some education (I know that might be tough when he's your
boss). When you have a real domain name registered as you do that is what is
best to use.

and exchange for
distrubution and local. The problem is that when a e-mail is sent out
it has the reply as X...@xxxxxxxxxxx when it should be
raw...@xxxxxxxxxxxx

When you mask domain names & IP addresses you make it pretty tough for
people to help you....what are the two domain names in use there, and are
you trying to use both for mail?

The reply email gets bounced back to the sender
as non-delivervable. How do I get the reply name to match. I was
thinking of setting up an account with the IPS with the reply and just
have those downloaded to my boss's inbox. My boss is not too happy
with this set-up.

Rerun the CEICW and enter your domain name properly. If you have more than
one domain name you use for mail, add the other domain name to your
recipient policy - and pick which one should be the default.

My advice? Ditch the POP connector. You've got a lovely mail server
sitting
there waiting to accept mail via SMTP. Use Exchange the way it's meant to
be
used, and things will go a lot better for you. But the above advice still
applies.

rawson@xxxxxxxxxx and jrawson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The problem is that
my boss want to keep chorus.net as his e-mail. Everyone else in the
office uses username@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx which is our domain name. I am
a novice to all of this. The other problem we are having is that Jim
(my boss) only gets his email when his outlook is open. When his
outlook is closed he loses his email to a black hole. Thanks for the
advice about not masking the names.
