I would also recommend using ExMerge to perform brick-level backup (backup
each mailbox individually).
Althugh it's not as complete as an NtBackup copy, it's a lot more flexbile
when you need to restore a single user database.
Otherwise, using NtBackup I believe you will end up having to restore the
ENTIRE store if a user just needs an email that was already deleted or
something like that.

Hi Mervin:
In NT Backup it is easy to tick the wrong box for Exchange and miss the
store. Can you look at your settings and make sure that in NTBackup
selection screen you expand all the sub folders under exchange and have
the last two boxes ticked?
Also, if you have not been backing up Exchange data bases you will see a
very large number of temporary log files in the folder where the .edb
files are, unless you have told your server to store them elsewhere. What
do you see there?

I am running SBS Premium 2003 and have several backups were created with
NT Backup. I'd configured the backups to include my Exchange server - to
maintain 30 days of permanently deleted emails. However, when I try to
restore the backups, it shows that the Exchange mailbox store has a size
of 0.
Is this an indication that my Exchange server files have not been backed
up? If not, how do I restore a mailbox? If so, how do I remedy this
problem?
