I am trying the join a new SBS2003 server to an existing W2K domain. I
have followed the steps in MS KB 884453, and am now resuming
installation at step 13 but there is a 'blocking' problem:
Unable to contact all domain controllers
There is only one other controller, a Windows 2000 server, I'll call
P2K. Only it and the new SBS server (P2K3) appear in AD sites.
Replication works in both directions. Each server can resolve both
server names. DNS changes on each box are propogated to the other.

Unable to contact all domain controllers

Where does this 'error' message come from and in what context? Please post
the entire error message and from where it originates.

Did you previously have other domain controllers in the W2K domain? ( Sounds
like an orphaned DC to me )

Install the Server support tools and run

dcdiag /c /v

and

netdom query dc
