Hi All
I know this issue has been covered many times so please excuse me if someone
has already answered but I am desperate for a resolution
My client has SBS2003 SP2 & the problem I am experiencing is "backups"!!!!!

Backup error finished with error code 0X80070458.
If I go into Libraries & try to access the drive I receive the error "Unable
to read from or write to the database, there is a problem with the Removable
Storage Service. please restart the service"
Then this following error
"The object identifier does not represent a valid object. This snapin's
display may be inconsistent with the Removable Storage Service, please
restart the snapin
I have restarted the services & continue to receive the same error
After some searching I found a possible fix from MS
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841187
I applied this but still experience the same problems.
I have changed media, cleaned drive but to no avail
The only other information I could locate relating to this problem was to
"rebuild the RSM Database", does anyone think that this is the cause &
possible resolution??
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Paul
