Hi Etq,
Thank you for your continuous effort on this issue.
I understand that manually modify the DNS address didn't work. Issue
remains after changing to the router.
Based on the tests result, let's continue performing the following tests
and suggestions to narrow down this issue.
Test 1. Check if client workstations can ping each other
Test 2. We can take the SBS server offline and then ping the IP address
10.10.10.3, see if there is another computer which is using this address.
Suggestion 1: Check the following group policy:
============
1. Logon Domain controller and Open group policy console with command
gpedit.msc
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative
Templates\Network\Network connections\Windows Firewall\Domain Profile\
3. Double Click Windows Firewall: Allow ICMP exceptions on the right pane.
4. Make sure the policy is enabled and the ICMP traffic is allowed. If it
is not, please enable it and Select all the boxes to allow ICMP traffic.
5. Apply the settings.
6. Run gpupdate /force command on the client computer to update the policy
and reboot the client computer.
Suggestion 2: Safe mode with networking on SBS server
============
1. Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On
a computer that is configured for booting to multiple Operating Systems,
you can press the F8 key when you see the boot menu.
2. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, select Safe Mode with
networking, and then press Enter.
3. Log onto Windows by using the Administrator account or any user account
with the Administrator privileges.
4. Try to ping serer again.
Suggestion 3: Enable PMTU black hole detection on Windows XP and SBS server
============
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type EnablePMTUBHDetect, and then press ENTER.
5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
7. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
