Re: How to install Virtual Server 2005 on SBS2003

Add the FQDN to your trusted sites or your Intranet sites and it should work. But if localhost works, who cares?

Hi again, Installed the latest VS2005R2Sp1 and choose another http port instead of the suggested 1024 port.
No errors during setup but a ISA FW connection error when starting the web admin url. When browsing the url bit changing the FQDN to localhost all works fine, using the fqdn gives me the errors..

DNS issue?
Or an issue because of the change of port?

Henrik -
I don't know of a whitepaper off the top of my head, but honestly, there's nothing special about this. Install VS2k5R2SP1. I've got a server I run for the local Habitat chapter that has SBS 2k3 R2 Premium, plus VS2k5R2SP1, plus two Windows XP Professional VMs that folks use to RWW into. It works just fine, and I didn't have any issues setting it up. The SBS box
has 3 GB of RAM, and I think I gave the two XP machines 512 each since they run a database off them. They're not huge email users (everyone is remote so most email is simply forwarded to their external accounts), so the load on the server is manageable.

Hi,

Im working with the virtulization question on SBS2003 and the customer preference Is MS products In therie environment.
I havent used VS on SBS2003 and Is wondering If there Is any documents for this scenario. I believe Ive seen one earlier..

VS is using a website for admin and in theory I can see issues with ISA that maybe Is (in this case is) installed.

The environment Is a SBS2003 Premium Sp1, R2, Exchange Sp2, SQL Sp2, ISA 2004 Sp3.

Does anyone know anything regarding possible whitepapers or How To docments?
Have alot of other inputs regarding resources etc from previous posts but no documents on how to.

Thanks and I wish you all a happy new year.
