Re: AVG 7.5?

It seems to me there's been a lot of good kudos for AVG of late. My experience with them is with their free version that I encourage my family and friends to use on their personal PC's, and it seems to run great.

My experience on the server side has been exclusively with Trend Micro. I might be willing to give AVG a try, based on everyone's positrive feedback with my next server install.

We are using AVG successfully on our server, with excluded directories. Also
we use AVG Anti-Virus Network Edition for the workstations which includes a
nice central administration feature where configuration for all workstations
are set. Virus definitions, test results and detected viruses are listed. The
workstation licenses are also managed from here. Very reasonably priced
solution.

I've been using AVG on server-based networks long enough that I used to
use File Server + Network Edition + Exchange. That worked fine and, as
you say, had central management and reporting.

Now that the SBS Edition is available (essentially what I was licensing
+ 1 extra license for the server), it's even easier to work with since
the ordering / licensing is simpler. [One product with the right number
of clients specified covers everything on an SBS network.] The pricing
has been a winner with my clients as well.
