In the router at my ISP they have a pppoe connection that they gave me.
In the interface there's a place to put a static ip. Pick one of the 5 so that the router from the ISP is now one of those 5. The router from the ISP in my case was a 192.168.1.254 IP.
Do you have such an external router from the ISP?
My external IP on the server is 192.168.1.2
The internal IP is 10.0.0.2 only because I'm an old time SBSer .. it could also be 192.168.16.2 because for both nics I put a netmask of 255.255.255.0.

Hello,.
Basically what I am looking for is a walkthrough of how to set up my
SBS as a router. I have 2 NICs, and a few static IPs from my ISP, I
just cant figure out how to configure this. Does anyone have a
walkthrough to help me? I use a PPPoE connection.
The first time I did this I ran the wizard and set up my PPPoE
broadband connection with one of my static IPs, however, this did not
connect. The only way i could get it to connect was to set it to
obtain an IP automatically. I could then set my outside NIC to the
static IP that was assigned, and it would work correctly, but then the
broadband connection was showing a different IP. I was under the
impression that this should be one of the static addresses.
Am I doing something wrong? Or was it configured right, with the
static IP address being on the NIC on my server? what further steps
must i take to NAT the connection out my local NIC with a 192.168
address?
Any help is appreciated, thank you.
