I need to know why changing to the 192 ip range will change things ?

Would the routing and remote access wizard not have to be re-run again or is
that done when you run CEICW?

So now that I have given up the fight :( please just supply the
configuration for going forward, I have had enough :)

Also how do you run the change ip wizard ?

Please fill in the details bearing in mind that I dont really want to change
all the pc'/servers and printers unless I have to .

It is important that the two sides of SBS are not only physically separated
(ie, SBS external connects directly to ADSL modem, SBS internal connects to

different IP subnets).

I _expect_ that if you changed your SBS external interface to 10.0.0.2 mask
255.0.0.0 (/8 mask, classic addressing) or maybe even 10.57.201.2 mask
255.255.255.0 (/24 mask, classless addressing in this IP range) in either
case running a default gateway of 10.57.201.1, with this interface
_directly_ connected to the modem, then ran the 'Change Server IP Address'
wizard and put the SBS internal into a more reasonable subnet (say
192.168.16.x/24), that most of your problems would disappear.

Or you can keep fighting it :-)

When I go to http://10.57.201.1 I get a page cannot be displayed.
I cannot ping the ip either but I can ping the external nic.
If I change the laptop to have a ip in th 10.57.201.xxx range I can then
see
the adsl
Why would changing the ip of the dsl and the external nic to 192.168.xx.yy
or 172.168.xx.yy make a differnece.

If it still gives you problems, RTM,

Then, I would connect it to a workstation that is not a member of the
domain, say your personal notebook, and do a hard reset to restore
factory
defaults. Once that was done, you should get DHCP from the device and be
able to connect to what ever interface it offers.

Having gone that far, I would take if off the 10.x network and put it,
and
the external nic of the SBS in a 192.168.xx.yy or 172.168.xx.yy
network, where xx is not 01 or 100.
