RE: OWA 2003

Hi John,

I noticed you open a new thread 41079239-WA 2003 about this issue. It seems
my suggestion didn't work.

Based on my experience, this issue be related to IIS setting. Please help
me collect the IIS metadata and I need to do deep research. From IIS log I
can find the related error code. Please take your time to connect the
information I required. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)

<Hi John,
<
<Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.

<From your description, I know the besides Administrator, other users can't

<
<Please let me know the following to make the situation more clearly:

<internally with domain user account?
<2. Do you have ISA server installed?
<
<Based on my experience, please take the following steps to narrow down
this
<issue:
<
<Step 1: The problem may be caused by the incorrect network and Exchange

<1. On the SBS 2003 Server open the Server Management console. Go to
<Standard Management\To Do List.
<2. Click the "Connect to the Internet" link.

<Step 2: The issue occurs when the OWA related virtual directories are not
<correctly configured, please have the following check:
<
<1. Open IIS Manager. Go to Server Name\Default Web Site\Exchange.
<2. Right click Exchange and open properties.
<3. Select Directory Security tab

<authentication and disable other authentication methods.
<5. Ensure Default domain is \ and Realm is blank.
<6. Click OK.
<
<In addition, for the ExchWeb virtual directory, the only authentication
<method is anonymous access, please have a check as the same steps.
<
<If the problem persists, please help me collect the following information
<for deep research:
<
<1. What important change did you make before the issue first occurred?
<2. The screen shot of the error message when you logon OWA from external?
<
<3. Gather IIS log:
<
<1) Open IIS snap-in.
<2) Right click Default Web Site and click Properties.
<3) Uncheck the "Enable Logging" box and click Apply.
<4) Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1 folder and move all files to

<6) Run IISReset command.
<7) Reproduce the problem and send the log file in
<C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1 folder to me for research.
<
<4. Gather IIS Metabase:
