Well I'd maybe contact DELL or try posting in the terminal server group...

Alright, I tried that and another suggestion I found in the same post.
However, neither one worked. There's still some conflict between the
display on this laptop and the way RWW passes through the RDP information,
I
guess. I've edited the default.rdp file to change resolutions, but it
makes
no difference.

I read somewhere that the maximum resolution you can set in an RDP file
is
1600w 1200h as soon as you go up a pixel it will default to an 800x600
window. Have you tried the latest RDP client? Googling, it seems that
the
Vista client supports higher, here a post I found on howto install it in
XP
(never tried it):

I have 3 brand new Dell laptops with an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator
Driver for mobile. Everything is fine until I select the remote
desktop
that
I wish to connect to. Even though I have full screen selected, I get
a
small window in the middle of the laptop display, and the resolution is
so
small, it's difficult to read. Since these laptops were purchased for
remote
access, they're currently unusable. Changing the laptop's resolution
doesn't
work - anything other than 1680x1050 results in a fuzzy display.
Changing
DPI helps the resolution on the laptop, but makes no difference for the
RDP
portion. If I select any choice other than full screen, it sill gives
me
a
smaller window within the browser window, and I have to scroll to get
to
different parts of the remote desktop. Do I have any other options, or
do
I
need to return these laptops? I have other Dell Inspirons, other
smaller
laptops, and desktops that have never had this issue, so I'm thinking
it's
the graphics driver in the laptop.
